What Is Instaflex Advanced?

All five Instaflex formulas were formulated by Dr. David Katz MD, MPH, FACPM, FACP.
Known for his holistic approach, Instaflex Advanced captures the powerful potency of natural ingredients.
These ingredients deliver relief right to the source, instead of simply covering up the pain.
Two key natural ingredients — Apres and UC-II — are clinically proven to significantly reduce joint discomfort and stiffness.
These supplement ingredients contain the exact dosage used in clinical studies and receive third-party quality assurance testing. So, you know you’re receiving an effective amount.
Unlike other joint relief supplements, Instaflex Advanced doesn’t include glucosamine or chondroitin (those with shellfish allergies can rest easy).
In fact, the ingredients in Instaflex Advanced are devoid of any known allergies.
This joint supplement is safe and non-habit forming, as well as gluten- and drug-free.
Product List
In addition to Instaflex Advanced, the Dr. Katz Clinic created:
- Instaflex Bone Support: increases bone strength, density and natural bone development. Calcium carbonate, vitamin D3 and ipriflavone are core ingredients of this supplement, along with horsetail herb, glucosamine and silica.
- Instaflex Muscle Support: aides quick muscle recovery, including reduced soreness and cramping. This supplement houses 100% daily value of vitamin D3 and vitamin E. Calcium, magnesium, potassium and L-Glutamine Monohydrate round out the rest of this powerful formula.
- Instaflex Vegetarian Joint Support: is a 100% vegetarian certified supplement for joint relief. The main ingredient, Regenasure, is the only vegetarian glucosamine source in the United States. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), AprèsFlex Boswellia serrata extract, and hyaluronic acid combine together to provide maximum joint relief for vegetarians.
- Instaflex Super Turmeric: is a high potency turmeric supplement. Turmeric is clinically proven as an anti-inflammatory agent. Curcumin C3 Complex Turmeric Extract reduces excess inflammation that leads to tender joints. BioPerine Black Pepper Extract enhances the bioavailability of turmeric, so your body receives more power with every punch.
Instaflex Advanced Ingredients

There are six main ingredients in the Instaflex Advanced formula.
Turmeric Extract (200 mg)
As discussed above, turmeric acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
Histamine releases during the early stages of the inflammatory response.
By lowering histamine levels, this Asian herb is clinically proven to provide additional support for sore joints.
Resveratrol (100 mg)
Resveratrol is natural polyphenolic compound (often found in wine) with renowned antioxidant properties.
The powerful effects protect all cells in the body, and is considered a general health promoter.
Derived from natural sources, the resveratrol compound in Instaflex Advances comes from the Polygonum cuspidatum root extract.
AprèsFlex – Boswellia serrata Extract (100 mg)
One of the key ingredients proven by double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials, AprèsFlex is derived from a plant native to India.
The Boswellia serrata plant has provided relief from joint discomfort for thousands of years.
Known as a knee pain relief agent, the Dr. Katz Clinic transformed the original botanical into an ultra-concentrated form: AprèsFlex.
UC-II (40 mg)
This patented form of undenatured type II collagen is derived from cartilage.
Also scientifically proven by double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials, UC-II is shown to significantly improve joint discomfort, mobility and stiffness.
It’s drastically more effective than chondroitin and glucosamine at providing joint relief, and is safe for those with shellfish allergies.
Hyaluronic Acid (5 mg)
Hyaluronic acid exists in healthy joints.
It’s produced naturally by the body and forms a protective membrane around joints.
Hyaluronic acid is an integral component of shock absorption and resistance to joint wear and tear.
It helps retain collagen and increase moisture, flexibility and elasticity.
All good things.
Bioperine – Black Pepper Extract (5 mg)
This derivation of black pepper is added to enhance the bioavailability of the other nutrients in the Instaflex Advanced formula.
Black pepper increases the absorption rate of other compounds, like tumeric.
Those core components will have an increased presence in the blood when black pepper is added to the supplement.
Other Ingredients:
Gelatin, cellulose, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide and FD&C Blue #1.
How Does Instaflex Advanced Work

Two other key ingredients – AprèsFlex and UC-II – are patented products for Instaflex Advanced.
Let’s take a closer look.
Boswellia serrata extract is the botanical within AprèsFlex.
Boswellia trees are part of the Burseraceae plant family.
Over twenty different Boswellia tree species exist — mainly in northeast Africa.
The resin extract derived from these trees is commonly known as Frankincense oil.
The Boswellia trees each have beneficial properties.
Boswellia extracts seem to achieve these therapeutic effects by reducing inflammation and bolstering immune function.
Boswellia serrata, in particular, contributes anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and analgesic (pain-relieving) properties.
According to the research, Boswellia serrata shows promising results for reducing knee pain, as well as enhancing knee flexion and walking distances.
The efficacy of AprèsFlex and UC-II was tested across multiple clinical studies.
Three measurement indexes frontlined each study: a visual analog scale (VAS), the Lequesne Functional Index (LFI), and the WOMAC index (used to measure discomfort, physical function, and stiffness).
Measurements were taken at the beginning of the trial and at other intervals as the trial progressed.
By Day 5, AprèsFlex already showed significant improvement in both joint relief and functional ability.
The beneficial effects of AprèsFlex continued to grow.
By day 30, improvements in VAS more than doubled. LFI showed twice the amount of relief.
And all three measurements of WOMAC hovered around 40% improvement.
In the second study of AprèsFlex, participants took the joint supplement (or placebo) for 90 days.
By the end of the trial, AprèsFlex showed joint improvement by almost 50% in VAS and 35% in LFI.
In 90 days, WOMAC scores had improved nearly 60% for discomfort and stiffness; and functional ability had risen roughly 50%.
Now, let’s consider UC-II. Type-II collagen helps build cartilage, more so than any other type of collagen.
Cartilage is a major component of our joint health. In this way, type-II collagen helps prevent joint pain.
Type-II collagen is most abundantly found in chicken collagen (as opposed to bovine or fish).
However, chicken collagen (unlike UC-II) contains chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate.
Instaflex Advanced patented type-II collagen formula retains the basic structure of the cartilage from which it derived.
Chondroitin is similarly derived from cartilage, yet it doesn’t preserve the original cartilaginous structure. In clinical trials, UC-II was compared to a chondroitin + glucosamine (C+G) combination.
Both supplements (UC-II and C+G) improved joint discomfort and function.
However, over 90 days, UC-II promoted more dramatic improvement in comparison to the chondroitin + glucosamine supplement (see below).
- VAS improvement: 40% vs. 15%
- LFI improvement: 20% vs. 6%
- WOMAC improvement: 33% vs. 14%
Although chondroitin and glucosamine work similarly to UC-II, research shows that UC-II is much more effective.
UC-II and AprèsFlex are both high in potency. When combined in one supplement, the dosage is strong enough to take only one pill, once a day.

Instaflex Advanced Reviews & Complaints
According to Amazon, this supplement receives a 4-star average out of 608 customer reviews.
Over half of customer reviews give this product 5 stars.
Two-thirds of the customer reviews were positive, one-third was negative.
Many customers (regardless of the rating) were not happy about the substantial increase in price.
Evelyn G. Jones writes:
I have been using this product for a year a half. It really works! I was skeptical a first and checked with my physician to see if it was all right to take this product since I was taking other medications. He said it was safe for me to take it. It is rather expensive but it is worth the cost.
Amazon Customer explains:
I’ve tried a lot of different joint supplements but this is the only one that really has helped the osteoarthritis in my right knee. Noticed a difference within a week of starting the supplements.
I’ve tried twice to stop taking them just to see if they were really working and within two days went right back both times. Won’t be doing that again. I like the ease of taking just one a day to stay in comfort throughout the day.
Dorothy expresses:
I tried these for a month for arthritis in my knee. While there may have been some easing of discomfort, it is not worth $60/month for the small amount of benefit.
Shara says:
A total overpriced rip-off that does not work. If you want to try something like this spend a few dollars for the actual ingredients and do it yourself.
